Your life story in three words.
Is that it?
Would you rather be hot or cold? Why?
Hot. Being hot just makes me uncomfortable, but being cold can be painful. Plus no one ever had to amputate a foot from being stuck in the sun too long during a camping trip.
Describe the person who is physically closest to you right now.
She has blue-grey eyes, brown hair and is reading a book by Dave Eggers. She’s wearing my Arsenal Adebayor long sleeve soccer jersey and asking me angrily why I don’t know what color her eyes are.
Three sites you have bookmarked and why.
IMDB.com: I’m a huge cinephile and am constantly checking up some director or actor or obscure soundtrack question I have.
Facebook: I use the internet, so of course I have this bookmarked.
Bleedingcool.com: Up the minute popculture/comic/movie/TV website filled with rumors and news. I live and breathe pop culture, even though I detest the majority of it. I’m a weirdo.
What is guaranteed to make you mad?
When the word balloons in comics point to the wrong character. You can usually tell because all of a sudden Hellboy is talking in the third person about how he’s gonna destroy himself. I mean, c’mon, editors! Do your jobs, I paid four bucks for this shit.
Favorite holiday and why
Boxing Day. I always travel on Christmas Day, so Boxing Day is always when I get to relax and have fun.
What movie would you choose to live in?
Robocop. You get to melt bad guys and there’s always inspirational music playing. Plus you get to wear a jet pack in part three.
Pet Peeves
Not getting my order right at food places. If I asked for onions, it means no onions. Not a few onions, not one onion, not ‘a handful that you try slide off and miss’ onions. I think we’ve come far enough as a society to get someones god damned order right 100% of the time.
People who hem and haw when you are trying to hang out. I tend to take control in a lot of situations, because nowadays, it seems most people are in capable of making simple decisions like where to eat, what to do or when to meet up. Everything you do doesn’t have to be the ‘correct’ choice, just make a decision already.
The internet. All of it. As much as I love it, I resent how dependent I’ve become of it, and wish I wasn’t as plugged in as I am/
Describe the last picture you shot
A can of Korean coffee drink I bought at a 7-11 in Daejeon, South Korea. I’m taking photos of everything I drink over here, because the cans all look so alien and crazy.
Three things that cross your mind of late 1. How hard it’s going to be to get back on a normal schedule when I return from my current trip, which is 17 hrs ahead of the US. I have only 2 days until I have classes when I get back and I’m worried I’m going to fall asleep in the middle of a critique. 2. I’m getting closer to 30 every day (I just turned 28) and for some reason this worries me. I’m afraid I’ll have to start acting like an adult and I am not ready to do that at all. 3. I’ve been balancing enough stuff for three people in my life and I think it’s stressful, then I think about how good my life is and I feel like an asshole for thinking my life has stress. I know I’m not starving or a refuge or in a war-torn country, but I get anxiety attacks all the time anyways. Does this make me a jerk? Probably, I think.
